Tom Cruise Is Preparing the First Action/Adventure Movie to Be Shot in Space

Future astronaut Tom Cruise is preparing a movie to be set and filmed in space. The film industry website Deadline is in preliminary talks with NASA and Space X to film a feature-length action-adventure movie in space.

NASA Administrator Jim Bradenstine confirmed that on Twitter that NASA is in talks with Cruise, saying “NASA is excited to work with @TomCruise on a film aboard the @Space_Station! We need popular media to inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists to make @NASA’s ambitions plans a reality.”

The movie would be the first narrative feature film shot in outer space, and at least some of it would take place on the International Space Station.
